For people named Bigot and other meanings, see Bigot (disambiguation).
A bigot is a prejudiced person who is intolerant of opinions, lifestyles, or identities differing from his or her own.
The origin of the word bigot in English dates back to at least 1598, via Middle French, and started with the sense of "religious hypocrite", especially a woman. Bigot is often used as a pejorative term against a person who is obstinately devoted to their prejudices even when these views are challenged or proven to be false.
Forms of bigotry may have a related ideology or world views.

Seems to me the person calling me a Bigot is the perfect example of a bigot. She can not tolerate us. Doesn't want to be friends with us. We were fine being friends with her. But, she couldn't stand our ideas. Read the definition, tell me what you think.

I would call you opinionated, but not a bigot. I love opinionated folks cause you always know where they stand!

I don't know who called you that, but I don't agree. I have found that generally the ones does that call someone that are trying to shut you up.

Racist and bigot are thrown around alot. I have also heard that only white people can be racist. Funny how that works in THEIR favor, or so they think.
