Monday Ramble and Columbus Day

OH Gads it's Monday..... Today was a 4:00 am morning..... Ugh :(

Some people love Monday's they think of it as a new start to a wonderful week...

Me, Monday's are when my boss act's like a Jack Ass... So I don't like Monday.

Tuesday that is good for me. I can usually get to work and stay focused, that day is so much better cause I am not having to deal with Mr. Crazy.

Enough of that...

Columbus Day.... I don't think they let the kids off for school today. I use to love it when we got Columbus Day off as kids. That was back in the day when we got to say The Pledge of Allegiance. I don't get it off anymore cause I didn't go postal or work for a bank.

My Friend Kai who lives in Canada just had Thanksgiving this weekend. I didn't even know they had a Thanksgiving... I will have to google it, just so I have some more information to process and file away in my head... that system isn't working so good as I get older. Hmm...

Now that Putter is home for Dinner I need to get busy on Menu's again... It's been 5 years since he has worked days. So it feels like a whole new world to me. I will be looking for crock pot easy peasy recipes or casserole's..... Putter is one of those guys who likes to mix his food up.. Crazy to me.. but he is a great person for those kind of recipe's. So if anyone has one's they just adore, feel free to send them to me. I will be very thankful. Also I need some good lunch menu's... My email is callieannbrat@gmail.com.

Saturday was a sleeping in day for me. I didn't drag my butt out of bed until after 1o:30 am.
It was fun sleeping in. Then I met Putter and his mom for lunch. After that I had the Grand kiddles until around 6pm.

Poor little Jack is afraid of Vacumn's...
Well, I had my vacumn plugged in and Jack being a lot like Jessica's Dad is very curious about things. He some how pushed the wrong button and that sucker started up. I was sitting in the big chair holding Bee, who was asleep in my arms. I heard Jack scream and run right by the couch. I yelled "Turn it off" so he started to run towards the Vacumn and then got scared and ran towards the couch. I yelled it again... "Turn it off" as he is screaming.... He ran towards it again.. 3 times he did this... The last time he threw himself on the couch screaming and crying with big giant tears rolling out of his eye's.. So I got up and turned it off... It was terribly funny to me..I told him "it's okay honey, your fine" as he climbed up on my other side and went to sleep. Yeah I shouldn't laugh. But, I will bet you $100.00 he will do it again.... HA! Baby B slept through the whole thing.. Ha Ha Ha...

I really love these kids...I had one on each side of me for over an hour. I have to put B on my right side because Jack says the left side is his... ONE good thing about being a Chunky Nana is kid's love to sleep on ya when your squishy and have comfortable boobs to rest your head on... HA! True Story...

I kind of hoped for a day off. That did not happen - not at work and not at school. Bummer :o) Now I have to wait all month for "our" thanksgiving...

Well, I missed this holiday. See what happens when you retire? Everyday is a holiday.

Your grand babies are gorgeous honey. You have every right to be proud.

The crock pot is a great way to make dinner and with the cold weather setting in it's comfort food too. Just saying.

Have a great day CallieAnnBratGirlfriend.

Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

How funny!! I have a nephew who LOVES to vaccuum... it helps that his dad compulsively vaccumms. So as soon as he could walk he would play pretend vacuuming to be like his dad.

P.S. I have no idea how to spell the word vaccuumm, vacum, vacuum? Sorry :)

Damn, now Miss Bee has gone and made me hungry with that recipe up there! I do so love a good roast and crockpot roasts just fall apart and are so yummy!

Now, in between writing this post and watching the little ones and not feeling well (cough, cough!), I hope you got some more reading in like I told you to!

Great pictures.
Wonderful story - I'm crying I'm laughing so hard, picturing Jack Pepper running back and forth to the Hoover Monster!

Jack Jack loves your left side cuz it's closer to your ♥

As for a simple recipe: we call it Enchilada Casserole, but it's basically Mexican Lasagna

Brown Ground beef with onion in skillet.
Layer beef in a 9x13 dish with flour tortillas, salsa, and cheese. Bake til bubbly. Sometimes we add in a layer of refried beans.
I like mine served with LOTS of sour cream and black olives.

Bee's recipe is good, you can also use onion soup mix. :) I omit the celery 'cause I don't like it.

Those kids are cutie pies. I wish you lived closer and we'd have play dates. Tyler and Jack Jack could get into a world of trouble together. *LOL*
