Something to Ponder on... Hmmmm interesting....

Just Saying.... give this some thought

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.

A little over one year ago :

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right. In the PAST YEAR:

1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;

3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);

4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) THE DOW is probing another low~~
$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!

YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT! ...

REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS.

AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT CLAIMS HE IS GOING TO REALLY GIVE US CHANGE ALONG WITH A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!!!!

JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND?

It's scary... isn't it? people fail to realize that the legislative branch is the branch taht affects our lives the most...a lot of this has nothing to do with our executive leadership.

Follow the logic (logic = key word here) and think before you vote.

Good gravy, girl.
I love ya, but we gotta agree to disagree when it comes to politics.
Just make sure you vote in November, so your vote can cancel out mine!

When its out there and explained so well, it really makes you wonder. Wish more folks could see these stats.

This started back with the peanut president. Then along came Clinton and made it even worse. That is what we are feeling today. Very well done though. Have a great day sweetie. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

Sad thing is - people just don't want to see this sort of stuff even if it's spelled out for them. Let's blame everything on W - just one man who can't do anything without the approval of the Senate and the Congress. Sheesh.

I don't think you and I see eye to eye on this.

The thing is that the boom and bust thing is a result of capitalism, not of republicanism OR democratism... this has been working up to what we have now for a very looong time. Even before Bush, because bust always follows boom. Always.

It's true that I'm what you would call liberal, but an awful lot of the candidates I plan to vote for this year are on the red side of the ticket too...

Amen sister!!

Too bad some people can't even see truth when cold hard facts are put in front of their face. That is one of the biggest issues these days, people just refuse to accept facts, they think their opinion is right and the facts are wrong. Damn shame people don't have more common sense.

Can't wait until your dang election is over with though LOL, I would hate to see my blood pressure lately with elections going on in both our countries, I get so mad when I see stupidity, can't help it. Our ending was satisfactory, not perfect, but at least not worse! So I am crossing my fingers yours is the same!

Hope your week is going well!

I agree somewhat with what Marilyn said about capitalism, except that it's more like "greed." All the kids are playing while the parents look the other way.
Change? Yeah, we're gonna get it in spades. Change? Yeah, Socialism.
AUGH. I will be SO glad when all of this is over. I've already conceded that BHO is going to win. And the main thing is - the people hate the congress, okay? We all get that. But why, then, are they willing to vote in more just like them?????? I do not understand.
