Alone in the dark day

Well, today I was alone all day. No one showed up for work. Just me on this lonely Veteran's Day. I found plenty to do so it really was a productive day. I will tell you it rained a ton and it was windy and dark. I was so glad when the day ended and it was time to go home. I love being home.

Jeff asked me where I would like to go for our anniversary. I really can't answer that cause lately I just want to be home. So we decided we will ponder on that thought and save it for another weekend. I personally would love to rent a little cabin up in the mountains and have a crackling fire going. I love things like that, but my honey loves movement... Racing Cars! How do you capture a soul like that and have it mellow... I mean seriously once ya get on and over the sex. What would he do. I am the reader, he is the doer and watcher. You can only talk so much about this or that. He is usually pretty quite unless he is bench racing.

Bench Racing= bunch of guys standing around rehashing last season out.. so and so won this race and this is what happened. This is what he ran in his car...Ya know that car use to belong to so and so and before that old larry had that car and then before that I think it came from North Carolina and then they changed the suspension on that and then they used So and So's Bird Cages for that one over there...............................................................................................It goes on like that for hours.. Can you tell I have heard a few of these bench racing conversations?

Bike ride it's raining.. So I am stuck on this one. Maybe I'll look for a place with a hot tub and then it could snow... Now that is fun to me.

Oh heck who know's have a great Wednesday... I think I will be alone again tomorrow... but I doubt it.. I am sure the yeller will show up... Little Hitler=Boss... Even though I gripe right now I am thankful to have a job.

It's nasty up here as well - weather-wise.
Yup, I'm thankful I have a job. Could be worse :o)
If there is a hot tub and a fireplace, I'm coming too (lol)

Sometimes I think the only thing my husband and I have in common is backpacking. That's one thing we can always talk about. It would be very hard if we didn't have that.

I had to laugh at the bench racing thing because I have sold my share of race car numbers over the years to those guys and I've heard a few of those conversations.
