Baby B Has Surgery

Baby Brighton had surgery yesterday to get her tonsils and adenoids removed. She has been sick with constant colds and ear infections, basically since she was born. So we are hoping this well help make her well. She is 25 months young now. She is growing so fast. I just adore this child. She is not happy with the nurses they poked both hands many times trying to insert the IV. Now she shows me her hands and says "Nana hand hurts" Poor little girl... I am going to visit her this evening. She is insisting she doesn't want any more Popsicles... she wants real food... but the doc says only soft foods... she doesn't think those docs are right. So... I am thinking she may need some good old mashed potatoes... one can only eat so much soft food...

She looks like a little trooper! It's so hard seeing them like this even though you know it's best for them.
When I had mine out, they put me in a room with an old woman who was obviously on her way to the "marble garden" (thanks to Bee). My mother stormed out of the room and insisted on another room! I still remember how scared I was.
This gives Nana another chance to spoil her....

Aw, the poor little kid! Of course, it's so much better to get all of that done when you're young rather than at 22 like I was. Jamie had hers out when she was about 7 or so and that was rough, too, but it certainly cleared up the constant strep throat and all so it was worth it.

Hopefully she'll be back to her old self soon!
