Saturday Photo Hunt ~ART~

This weeks photo theme ART
Putter's ART

Putter is my man AKA Jeff
So this is the art that my man makes. Putter loves racing. Putter, his dad, his brother and a special friend named Chris all love going racing every single weekend during the summer. They are even at the Dirt Track as I write. Putter is very good with his hands and metal. This is his ART. Before you is a jig for a Late Model Racecar. So what a guy does is takes a perfectly good car, put it up on these metal beams. Then you mark every point where there is a bend, a joint, whatever and you build all these brackets to hold it in place. The whole reason the guys do this is. When you crash your racecar you can put it back on the jig and put it all back together the way it was when it was new. So many times they crash the front on the car, which they call a front clip. So then wala you can fix it. This way you don't have a crooked chasis. If you want to blow the picture up, you can see better what I am speaking of.
Happy Saturday to all

Some kind of hard art, metal art? This sounds interesting but complicated for me. :)

The problem with that kind of art is that it's susceptible to being demolished in the middle of the raceway but I bet Putter is talented enough to put it back together if that happens!

Very interesting! I never would have thought about how that was done, but it all makes sense. Great art!

LOL! Talk about planning ahead. I don't dare show this one to my husband, he would get ideas. *grin*

My step dad used to dirt track race. We would be at the races EVERY weekend! I loved it. The smell of that fuel is like nothing else in the world. I have lots of pictures from "back in the day" when our favorite driver would win, he'd let us go down and get our pictures made with him with that checkered flag! It was the coolest. Those were some good times. I had my first boyfriend there as well. ;)

Great choice for this week's theme, Calliebrat!

I'll sip a wine cooler and take a dip in the pool for ya...but when ya get better come on over and have a swim with us, girl!!!

Where is the finished product? My DH and DS (5yo) love racing. They go for the Formula Racing though. We also use to go to drag races that goes on until the wee hours in the morning (we go home early of course) which the kids enjoy.

That is definitely an art because it entails a lot of details to make the end-product work.

My ART theme photos are up too. Have a great weekend, :)

Building a race car from the frame up most certainly is an art form of it's own. Well done!

Everyone is invited to my Art Exhibition. Hope to see you there.

I can appreciate this art. My brother is a Crew Cheif and I have seen how much work goes into the finished product... and how the cars can come back destroyed for the guys to start all over again from the frame. It takes talent and skill to do this form of art.
Have a wonderful day!
Stop by for a visit mine is up.
