What the Hell?

Okay this is annoying. I am 45, this is my birthday month and my in box is being filled with ads from AARP saying join..... Dangit, I am not amused. I am already feeling old about the 45 thing. Why are these people trying to rush me to 50 so damn bad. BACK OFF! Leave me alone.

It is just not funny. What do they do stalk the internet for new members with a 5 year notice? OH well, is this happening to anyone else? On with my old person day... I am off to work now to pay into my Social Security fund for when I am an old.......

Both my husband and I started getting the AARP stuff early too (however not as early as you're getting them - LOL). Face it girlfriend, you're aging and you can't stop it. Seriously, enjoy it, I love it!!!
The more you complain about it the more lines develop on your face, just forget it and enjoy what heading into your senior years means - Hahaaaahaaaheehee

I'm 41 and I've started getting them.
Pesonally, I think that LindaLoo has put us on the AARP mailing list since she's turning the big 5-0h-No in a few days!

No, no, I haven't put anyone on a list at all! I started getting these emails this past summer and actually did join AARP but I've put no one a list! Though if they were to give me a commission I might think about it!

hahaha. This is so funny. I just threw away a credit card offer to my 13 year old son. This is so crazy. I get the AARP in the mail also. I just wanted to share. Maybe this will make you feel bettter. RIGHT?

I feel the same way. Let us age in peace.

Bwahahahahahaha. Sorry honey this happens to everyone, not just you. I'll be 57 in a handful of days. Now that's old compared to 45. Big hug. :)

But you'd get a free travel kit!

If you thinks it's bad now, just wait! I'll be 54 next month and I'm a card-carrying member. I like senior discounts. I like any discounts! hahaha!

First off:
@Tammy (I hope you'll see this!) ... check your 13-year-old's credit history. It may be there's a case of identity theft.

As for AARP ... wow! They're starting even earlier than ever. I started getting my junk mail at 48.

I think there should be a law ... if you're getting AARP mail, you should be able to take advantage of all senior citizen discounts!

I'm tired of paying $8.50 for a first-run movie.

Yep, I know the feeling. The first one I got I felt like taking a match to it! I did finally join - for the discounts, of course...

... could be worse... my hubby's 34 and somehow received two AARP invites last year. We didn't know if it was a joke or for real!

[dropping by via entrecard, btw] *lynne*
